Urban Leisure Bag - University Client Project for Kathmandu (Product Design)
Brief: Identify an opportunity to improve the camping experience and design a product solution.
Project included researching chosen target group, concept and development through to a functioning prototype.
My design is a versatile bag that transforms from a day shoulder bag to a larger leisure bag with ease, designed for young females with busy city lifestyles who are new to camping.
Final Design, Functioning Prototype
This multi-purpose bag can be used for work, study and errands; and when expanded can be used for sport, leisure, a spontaneous trip or picnic.
Designed to bring “work mode” and “leisure mode” closer together, create more freedom and encourage the user to integrate more outdoor/leisure activities into their everyday life.

This design responds to insights into this group of infrequent campers: their wish to make the most
of a limited budget and buy outdoor equipment they can maximise and also use in urban everyday settings.
